The clouds in the sky one recent morning looked like ocean waves rolling up to the shore. Before the sun came up over the horizon, it bounced incredible rich colors off the sky.
I invite you to sit back and simply enjoy the beauty and peace.
I heard thunder and decided to check out the clouds before fixing our snack. Boy was I in for a surprise!!
In 25 years of living here, this is the first tornado we have seen in this area.
It kept reaching a little further down.
And moving a little further east.
Finally it appeared to nearly reach the ground before dissipating.
It was definitely interesting to watch and I’m quite happy to have been able to simply observe from a distance!
(I did have my plan in place in case it decided to move south!)
A peaceful sunrise with fresh, clean mountain air to breath is the perfect way to start the day.
The clouds glow and seem to burst with light as the sun comes up behind them.
Take a moment to bask in the beauty and just be.
On my walk today I noticed a group of butterflies. They were all quite vibrant, but these two stuck out the most for me… Each one took time on a flower before moving on to the next flower.
As I watched, I became mesmerized by them. Everything else around me seemed to vanish from my perception…. only the butterflies held my attention.
As I pondered their message for me, it was clear that they focus on ONE THING at a time… one flower. Once they are satisfied with that flower they move on to the next.
In the midst of it all, they are not frantic… they are completely at peace.
My heart spoke out to me that this is the perfect example of meditation.
Block out everything else, focus at one thing at a time, and be at peace. Once you are comfortable with one point of focus, move on to the next… but not until then.
Challenge yourself to take time to meditate (or pray, whatever word you use for communication with the divine). Be still, block out everything else, and be at peace.
While I was out taking pictures last night, my attention was quickly drawn to a powerful lightening storm to the north.
In the past, I’ve been unsuccessful at capturing lightening shots….this is my first. The lightening appears as tendrils connecting sky and earth, reminding me that all in the universe is one. Simple, powerful, and beautiful.
I invite you to sit back and enjoy the electrifying beauty for a moment!
